Just a Head’s Up! We don’t want to alarm anyone or discourage anyone from coming, but they have been talking about some more snow. With any luck, it won’t be much, and it won’t hit until you are all safely checked into the Crowne Plaza Dublin! Ride it out the storm in port with a bunch of pirates and unlimited alcohol!!
The long-range GFS model shows the system moving into Central Ohio Saturday morning and once again being a prolonged snow event into Sunday morning which would allow for several inches of accumulation with the rain/snow line south of the Ohio River.
The European model that we also look at shifts the rain/snow line closer to I-70 in the afternoon on Saturday before changing back to snow overnight into Sunday which would cut down on snow totals in Central and Southern Ohio.
The National Weather Service has the system coming in on two fronts, the first one which is rather weak and fleeting with a more significant player arriving late Saturday and or Sunday.
Nonetheless, models are in fair agreement that we will see some type of precipitation this coming weekend.
It’s still too far out to lock into totals, but there should be a good amount of moisture and breezy conditions.
